Red Hat's Benelux organization is seeking a Solution Architect (SA) to support our rapidly growing sales efforts in Belgium and Luxembourg. The SA team is responsible for architecting solutions, presenting compelling recommendations, and convincing prospective Red Hat customers to leverage industry-leading Open Source solutions. As a Solution Architect, you are a top technical expert with strong business acumen who is can present executive lT leadership with a compelling business case to invest in Red Hat solutions. Our Solution Architects are seen by our customers as seasoned, technical experts of our technology. You will collaborate with the sales team and technical delivery teams to bring our customers the best solutions from across the RHEL Product Suite including Virtualization, Cloud Computing and more.
Primary Responsibilities:
*Responsible for providing primarily pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions.
*Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations.
*Gain an in-depth understanding of customer business and IT environment; collaborate with sales team to assess the potential application of Red Hat products and prepare detailed product specifications.
*Present to potential customers on complex operating systems and design value driven architectures, and explain the application and ROI of
those technology solutions. Deliver compelling recommendations which directly result in the closing of new sales.
*Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.

Desired Skills & Experience
Required Skills & Experience:
*3 + years experience as a Sales Engineer, including architecting and implementing Linux or Unix software solutions.
*Strong communication and technical skills with a proven track record of developing relationships at engineering, commercial and CxO levels throughout organizations.
*Knowledgeable and enthusiastic about open source technologies and community-based development.
*Strong knowledge of UNIX / Linux systems, preferably in Red Hat platform products including Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Red Hat Network Satellite, MRG, and other related technologies.
*Knowledge of technologies as Clustering, Directory Services, Identity Management, etc. and/or programming languages of Python, Perl, Java etc. would be preferred.
*Fluency in oral and written Dutch or French and English.
