Role Description
ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE
This position is accountable for the direction of the Engineering function, including the design, engineering and implementation of advanced manufacturing-packaging technology, facilities and building and process automation .
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. The Director is accountable for staffing, training & development, motivation & coaching, giving feedback and effective listening & communication towards his/her colleagues.
He/she is responsible for the environment and the health and safety of the team.
He/she will respect the GMP vision, mission, values and leadership behaviors in order to realize the PGS objectives related to quality, GMP, customer satisfaction, right first time and cost.
The leader focuses on the departmental objectives in support of the site and the PGS objectives
2. Designs, engineers and implements pharmaceutical manufacturing-packaging technology and facilities, to make possible optimum performance of the plant in terms of output, cost and quality.
3. Keeps abreast of business and industrial conditions and broaden his knowledge of pharmaceutical production practices, regulatory, marketing requirements and company operations to focus on best practices for our local plant.
4. Directs major technology projects to realization within budget, timeframe and meeting pre-set requirements.
5. Directs the process automation group
6. Contributes to meet overall local, PGS and total company objectives
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE
1. Degree: University
2. Formal education: Science, Engineering, Pharmacy or Chemistry
3. Experience required
Experience in pharmaceutical industry (preferably)
5-10 years in various management positions
Thorough scientific and operational background
Experience in financial and business principles
4. Specific training and skills
Excellent people management skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Thorough knowledge of GMP requirements
Work efficiently with people of different backgrounds
